Welcome to Jill Murphy Class
Our teacher this year is Mr Till and our teaching assistants are Mrs Salisbury-Jones, Miss Punshon and Miss Horrobin.
Our topic for Term 1 is ‘Guess Who?’ In our history lessons we will be analysing the ways that we have changed since birth; as well as recognizing famous black individuals who have helped our lives be better today. In our computing lessons we will be learning about the technology that we have all around us; as well as understanding the basic functions of a computing system. In our art lessons we will be drawing portraits of famous people; while in our DT lessons we will be making textile self portraits.
We will be celebrating harvest festival by bringing in food and money to donate to local food banks.
We will be performing in our harvest festival assembly.
We will be having a famous person day where we are dressing up as our favourite famous people and learning about people who have helped our lives be better today.
We will be celebrating national poetry day by discovering famous poets and sharing our favourite poems with one another.
Homework will be printed for children and handed out to them every Friday. A post will be made on Google Classroom every week confirming this.
Any child that is isolating due to Covid-19 will have access to the school work on Google Classroom.
