Power in Our Words: Morpurgo Class Celebrates Black History Month
Children in Morpurgo Class have been busy creating powerful and inspiring poems for Black History Month, exploring this year’s theme: “Standing Firm in Power and Pride.”
Each child reflected on what the theme meant to them, expressing their thoughts and feelings through poetry. From celebrating heritage and courage to showing pride in who they are, their words truly capture the spirit of standing tall and strong.
Not only did they write some fantastic poems, but they also added beautiful illustrations to bring their words to life. The classroom has been filled with creativity, pride, and powerful voices – a true celebration of history, identity, and expression.
