Morpurgo Class Take a Walk to the Thames
Morpurgo class are studying The River Thames for both History and Geography so we walked to the river. The children will be learning about how The River Thames has been used over the centuries. This trip engaged the children in the topic to be taught. They compared what they could see now and what they could have seen a hundred years ago or a thousand years ago.
Children were also able to make links to their previous history unit – WW2- and thought about how the river was used during the war.
