Rosherville celebrated Diwali on Friday 10th November!
The children came to school dressed either in their traditional clothes or anything bright and sparkly to celebrate the Festival of Light.
We started the day learning about Rama and Sita and why Hindus celebrate Diwali.
Children then went to different classes and took part in range of activities – learning a Diwali dance, lantern making and creating some fantastic rangoli patterns. At the end of the day, the children were treated to a wide range of Indian food – samosas, pakoras, chick pea curry, vegetable rice and for dessert Indian sweets and Gulab Jaman.
A huge thank you to all the parents who made the day even more special with the amazing food!
